Saskatchewan Envirothon  - 2011 Competition

Event Highlights

• Sunday May 29 - Tuesday May 31,  2011 at the Bethany Bible College in Hepburn Saskatchewan.
• Registration will open September 20^th, 2010 on a first registered & paid - first serve basis.
• There is a limit of 20 teams so Register Early.

Team Registration Information

 Due to facilities, we will be limiting the teams to 20. Registration will open September 20, 2010. Schools can register by filling in the online form HERE and mailing your registration fees to: Partners FOR the Saskatchewan River Basin 402 Third Ave South, Saskatoon SK, S7K 3G5.

Workshop Information

May 6, 2011 (tentative) at the University of Saskatchewan. This workshop is open to all teams. It is an excellent opportunity to gain some hands on experience with equipment and supplies to be used at the Envirothon competition. The sessions also highlight important aspects for the students to know for the actual Trail Test.

Educational Kits for Schools

Each registered school has the option to borrow an edu-kit.  These kits contain some of the supplies, samples and equipment you may expect to see at the competition. Due to the costs and limited number of kits, these kits will be available for your school for a period of 1 month. This form is now part of the registration form and must be submitted at the time of registration.

Topic and Theme Binders

 In order to help reduce our impact on the earth and minimize our own carbon outputs, we have digitized the binders. This year, after registering, you will receive a CD with the 5 topic binders included in pdf/word format. We will also be sending out some resource books on LOAN. These must be returned in the same condition as they are found (no writing).  Books are to be returned to the registration desk at the Envirothon.

Green Strategy

Saskatchewan Envirothon Green Policy Statement
We will do our most to address environmental considerations at the planning, workshop and Envirothon event. We will do our best to minimize the event’s waste, water, energy consumption, and air emissions.

Important Dates

Registration

• Registration Begins – September 20, 2010
• 1^st team per school registration deadline – November 30, 2010
• 2^nd school team registration begins (if room) – December 1, 2010. After this date, if we have less than 20 teams registered your school may submit a second team by completing the form below. Please note that you MUST have a different advisor for each team.
• All teams must be registered – January 31, 2011

Envirothon Competition

• Sunday May 29^th, 2011 - registration and social
• Monday May 30^th, 2011 - trail test and prep for oral competition
• Tuesday May 31^st, 2011 - oral competition and awards banquet
