HOW TO BUILD A DIP NET

Water Watchdop come with dip nets. Although these nets are great for smaller hands, many participants have greater success using a large dip net. Using a large dip net also allows a long reach when dipping from shore.

Materials required:

- 1 metre broom handle or dowel for handle
- 1 wire coat hanger
- 30 cm2 cheesecloth or fine netting
- needle and thread
- strong tape or wire

1. Fold one edge of the net down and sew.

2. Fold square in help and sew net
curve. Cut off the excess.

3.Bend wire coat hanger into a
square and open.

4. Thread net onto hanger,
reconnect hanger.

5. Attach hanger to the dowel with wire
or tape.
