Call for Abstracts - June 30, 2009
This conference will examine the impacts of various components of the energy sector on the quantity and quality of water and its associated ecosystems. A sustainable society is dependant on achieving a balance between sustainable energy development and use and sustainable water resources. The conference program will highlight the links between the energy sector and water, the role of water conservation and treatment measures, and ecosystem impacts of various components of the energy industry across the prairie provinces.
Poster Presentations: Posters will be displayed along the walls of the conference room throughout the entire conference.
Oral Presentations: Can be by the public, private, research or corporate sector. Each presentation will be 30 minutes in length with 25 minutes for presenting and 5 minutes for questions.
Abstract Submission: We invite your participation at this conference with either a poster or a presentation.
Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and should not include tables, images, pictures or special typographic characters. An author may submit more than one abstract; however, each abstract must be submitted separately.
The following information must accompany each abstract:
- Title of presentation
- Author(s), affiliations, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses
- Email, phone, and fax numbers of the corresponding author
- Preferred format (paper or poster or either)
- Indicate on a separate page the name of the presenter, affiliation, credentials, and a brief biographical description to be used as an introduction (no more than one half page in total).
