About Saskatchewan River Basin


Since 1993, Partners FOR the Saskatchewan River Basin (PFSRB) has promoted stewardship and sustainability of the Saskatchewan River Basin , an international watershed stretching over the three Prairie Provinces and a portion of Montana . More than 3 million people live within the basin which includes the North Saskatchewan, Red Deer, Oldman, Bow, Highwood, South Saskatchewan, Battle, Saskatchewan, St. Mary, and Carrot Rivers.


Although their focus is upon the Basin itself, programs are most often delivered to all areas of the Prairie Provinces . To date, PFSRB has delivered over 20 major educational and informational projects. Partners FOR the Saskatchewan River Basin continues to strive for excellence, maintaining that their primary client is the River.

News Items

The North Saskatchewan River Basin Council (NSRBC) is pleased to announce that the section of the North Saskatchewan River in Jasper National Park has achieved Heritage River status!  The NSRBC is holding their Annual General Meeting on April 28, 2014 in North Battleford, SK at the Western Development Museum at 1:30pm.
